How to Deep Clean Your Bathroom Without Harsh Chemicals
A thorough bathroom cleaning routine using natural products

A deep-cleaned bathroom feels like a spa. You do not need bleach or harsh chemicals to get that result. Here is a natural deep-cleaning routine that leaves everything gleaming.
Step 1: Dry Dust First
Before any wet cleaning, dust all surfaces — shelves, light fixtures, window sills, and baseboards. Use a microfiber duster or a damp cloth. This prevents mud when you start scrubbing.
Step 2: Apply the Toilet Treatment
Sprinkle baking soda into the toilet bowl, then pour in half a cup of vinegar. Let it fizz for 10 minutes while you clean everything else. Scrub and flush at the end.
Step 3: Tackle the Shower
Mix equal parts vinegar and dish soap in a spray bottle. Spray shower walls and glass doors, let sit for 5 minutes, then scrub with a brush. Rinse thoroughly. For glass doors, a squeegee after each shower prevents hard water spots.
Step 4: Clean the Sink and Counter
Use the all-purpose cleaner from our previous recipe. Spray generously, let sit, then wipe. For faucets, an old toothbrush dipped in vinegar removes mineral deposits around the base.
Step 5: Mop the Floor
Add a few drops of tea tree oil to warm water and mop the floor. Tea tree oil is naturally antifungal and leaves a clean scent.
Your bathroom will look and smell fresh without a single harsh chemical.
